Very late symptoms of prostate cancer are bone pain wight loss, fatigue and loss of bowel control.

Who can get it

Only men can get prostate cancer, Men over the age of 50 are the one most likely to develop the cancer. Getting prostate cancer when you are under the age of 40 is extremely rare.

How it is treated

here are many treatments types for prostate cancer including, surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and hormone therapy. Any or all of these treatments may be used depending on the stage of the cancer is in. normally men only get one treatment at a time but depending on the situation may get a combined treatment.

Surgery

Surgery is a common first time treatment for Prostate Cancer if it is thought to not have left the area yet. 

Radiation Therapy

Another first time treatment cure rate is about the same for men who get surgery to remove the prostate gland. The therapy uses high energy particles or rays to kill cancer cells

Chemotherapy

Uses anti-cancer drugs either taken as a pill or injected into a vein, these drugs enter the bloodstream and are more useful to people whose cancer has spread to different organs. Chemotherapy is not a standard treatment for early cancer.

Hormone Therapy

Does not alone kill Prostate Cancer, slows the production of male hormones which aid the production of the cancerous prostate cells.

How you will be affected

The Cancer causes prostate enlargement which makes it difficult to control urine exiting the urethra.

It can also can pain during urination, and causes the frequent need to pee. Along with the need to get treatments such as the ones above.
